HEMBURY HALL: BRAND IDENTITY DESIGN

This project began, as many of my favourites do, with a sense of place. Hembury Hall, a stately home in the Kent countryside - sweeping parkland, walled gardens, and stories layered through oak-panelled corridors and faded art. The goal was to create an identity that felt as considered and enduring as the building itself: classic without being stuffy, characterful but sophisticated.

I leaned into traditional typography, gentle textures, and a colour palette inspired by polished oak, old porcelain and summer skies above the Hembury Maze. Every design decision was shaped by the visitor experience - from the first glimpse of the signage to the tone of voice used in tour materials and printed guides. This extended to the sub-brand for Hembury Hall’s burgeoning Weddings & Ceremonies arm.

This was a chance to build a brand with a deep sense of history, one that invites people in and encourages slow exploration. The end result is something that feels like it’s always been there - familiar, elegant, and quietly full of life.
